Freedom Street Dance
SKF a proud sponsor of the Freedom Street Dance. Saturday night, May 29, 2010, the streets of Hobart, OK., will be filled with the sounds of good old rock and roll music. Bands begin ar 3:00 PM and will be playing until midnight. Plan to bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music of four of Southwest Oklahoma’s finest bands. Food vendors with refreshments and a Beer Garden are all in close proximity to the street dance. There’s plenty of room for dancing on the street, so plan to enjoy a good time in downtown Hobart with us! The Grissleheads: 8:00 to 12:00pm
This band has performed in Oklahoma, Hawaii, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, and Texas. They have played for many events, parties and fundraisers for numerous major companies, including: Hilti Corporation, Dowell Corporation, Shamrock Bank, Starlight Children’s, Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra, Marlow Lyon’s Club Annual 4th of July Extravaganza, Bartlesville Hospital, Mo’Betta Celebrity Quail Hunt, and has performed for several companies in Branson, Missouri. Their style of music is 70’s and 80’s rock, classic rock (50’s and 60’s) and classic country.

Nine Mile Hill: 4:30 to 6:00pm

9 mile hill is the name of the band. it consist of Carlos Mendoza on drums, and back up vocals. Roger Balderas thumps the bass and also sings back up. Shawn Bentley plays rhythm and some lead guitar and also does some lead vocals. Nate Kelley plays lead guitar and main vocals.

David Bruster is from Norman, OK. He graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Broadcasting and Communication. David is an accomplished vocalist, song writer, and musician who plays guitar, harmonica, saxophone, and piano. He has performed throughout Oklahoma and Texas. David was inducted into the Oklahoma Opry Hall of Fame after receiving three consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year Awards.
