C-47

It started out as just something fun to do. The first year, the weather was bad, but a few die hard pilots still made it in. The second year, the weather held up and a lot more planes made it in. There were all types of planes from experimental to twin-turbine executive. The most important thing was that all had the love of flying and meeting new friends.

This will be the fifth year for the fly-in and things will never be the same at Hobart, Oklahoma. Coordinating the Fly-in with a host of other Memorial Day events, the fly-in is expecting a large number of planes, including executive jets, military, experimental, powered parachutes, and a host of other general aviation aircraft. There will also be a free Pancake Breakfast from 8:30am to 10:30am for all pilots and crew flying in to Hobart. The cost for all others is just $5.

Be sure and stick around for drawings for free fuel to take place at 10:30am. Prizes will also be given for oldest aircraft and furthest traveled. So if you want to be part of a growing and exciting event, fly into Hobart Regional Airport (KHBR). By the way, bring plenty of energy. There are over 15 other events going on that day.

Powered Parachutes: Did I mention that this will be a combined fly-in with a host of Powered Parachutes? Well, it is, and if you talk real nice to one of the pilots, you might find yourself in the sky riding a powered parachute!

Free Airplane Rides for kids 12 years old and younger when accompanied by an adult. Adult airplane ride are $20. Charter flights, lessons and extended airplane rides are also available.
