DEDICATION
To the memory of those WWII Aviators who so nobly gave their lives for their country, we dedicate this Fly-in......We bow our heads in their memory and offer a silent prayer that they have not died in vain.
  
This will be the sixth year for the fly-in and things will never be the same at Hobart, Oklahoma. Coordinating the Fly-in with a host of other Memorial Day events, the fly-in is expecting a large number of planes, including executive jets, military, experimental, powered parachutes, and a host of other general aviation aircraft.
So if you want to be part of a growing and exciting event, fly into Hobart Regional Airport (KHBR). By the way, bring plenty of energy. There are over 15 other events going on that day.
Friendship Flight '97: The Aircraft and Pilot
Bill Signs and his Cessna 210 will be at this years Celebration of Freedom. Under Signs' hand, N90MB has flown around the world, landed on all 7 continents, and visited Russia, among other endeavors. www.friendshipflight.com
Lady Liberty: The A-26 is the only war bird to fight in WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam. The Lady Liberty is a true veteran of the war in Europe, this WWII A-26 still bears the scars acquired while tangling with the Luftwaffe. This majestic war bird will be on display and will be open to the public during the fly in. www.a26ladyliberty.com
C-47: The WWII Airborne Demonstration Team will be here performing a dynamic WWII parachute demonstration from their period C-47 aircraft in full WWII gear using military static line. This is something that is really worth watching and make sure you take the time to meet some of the Airborne Demonstration team members, as well as a few WWII Airborne and Glider veterans. Also, Any member of the general public who wants a totally unique Airborne encounter can participate in the team’s “Airborne Experience” ride along program. www.wwiiadt.org
Powered Parachutes: Did I mention that this will be a combined fly-in with a host of Powered Parachutes? Well, it is, and if you talk real nice to one of the pilots, you might find yourself in the sky riding a powered parachute!
Airplane Rides: Please check with Pilot at airport during fly-in for pricing. Charter flights, lessons and extended airplane rides are also available.
Hangar Dance: At 6:00pm there will be a hangar dance featuring a 16 piece swing band that will be playing music from the 1940s. So bring your sweetheart and dance to some of the music your father and mother danced to during the Second World War. There is no admission fee. Consumption of alcohol will not be allowed at this event.
Pancake Breakfast: Free Pancake Breakfast from 8:30am to 10:30am for all pilots and crew flying in to Hobart. The cost for all others is just $5.
FAA Seminar: The FAA will by holding a free Human Factors Safety seminar starting at 10:00. It's free so come on and add another wings safety point to your list to help reduce your insurance cost.
RC Fly-In: War-birds over Oklahoma will be flying and displaying some of the finest WWII RC models any where. This is a must see in it's self. www.warbirdsoverok.org
Motorcycles, Motorcycles. Be at the Fly-in at 11:00am and watch as over a 1000 motorcycles descend on the Hobart Regional Airport in preparation for a final descent on the city of Hobart. You will see some of the finest classic, new and modified motorcycles ever built.
